A Few words on Colloidal Nanocrystals

Colloidal nanocrystals are nanoparticles synthesized in solution using wet-chemical approaches. The major technological advantages of colloidal nanocrystals are their size- and shape- dependent physical, optical, electronic, magnetic and conductive properties, their ease of fabrication, their robustness, and their potential ease of integration with existing technologies. As a consequence of these appealing properties, nanocrystals have been widely developed during the last decade and already applications in diverse technological fields have been demonstrated.
